Last weekend was held in Madrid the first edition of the DIY Show, a new craft fair for lovers of handmade and beautiful things.
Throughout the weekend there were several workshops and conferences at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on various topics: fashion, creative cooking, DIY, crafts, technology, marketing, workshops for children…
Thanks to Raquel from Dawanda who is very nice I attended the talk given on Sunday morning by Laura Martínez del Pozo, creator of the brand Peseta. The talk was very enjoyable and uplifting plus we gathered there a few crazy ones about crafts that are connect via internet.
Laura told us about her experience of over ten years with the brand, how she did things in the past and how it can be done now. She said that with perseverance, motivation and hard work you can achieve any goals. She said things like: “What is defined does not flow”, you can see that I took note of everything! ;)
Exhibitors who were at the show were varied. There were clothes, accessories, artwork, cupcakes and cookies, all kinds of crafts and stationery stuff, wool, floral art, decorative objects and even a stand of Thermomix!
The guys from Dawanda also set up a lovely photocall to take pictures playing the fool, have fun and participate in a giveaway of gift cards to use at Dawanda stores.
